What requirements do I need to meet to keep the funding I've been awarded?

Once your application is approved, you’ll need to meet one of two simple requirements depending which type of course you were approved for. These requirements are set by the government and are therefore non-negotiable.

For live courses, you must attend at least 80% of the course sessions. If an emergency has prevented you from attending, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can figure out what your options are.

For on-demand courses, you must complete at least 80% of the course (videos, exercises, and passing scores on module quizzes) within 6 months of your course start date. The start and end date (in Dutch, startdatum and einddatum) of your session are clearly listed on your aanmeldbewijs, in the confirmation emails we send to approved students, and in the government STAP portal.

We're legally obligated to accurately report attendance to the government (bewijs van deelname), so any student not meeting the above requirements will be recorded as such in the STAP opleidersportaal. The government will then contact you to investigate the situation and determine if you've broken the government subsidy terms.
